We have stuck together since the late 1950′s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way. Here is a model separation agreement.

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We’ll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We’ll keep the Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC, ABC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N., but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We’ll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We’ll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute Imagine, I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We’ll practice trickle-down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Dear America,

It’s your old friend, the Free Citizen. I am the descendent of Selflessness and Sacrifice. Time has passed quickly since we last talked. I have written to you, but you have yet to respond. When I call, you never answer. I hope everything is alright.

I thought I was still in youth, but it appears as though I’ve grown older. My hearing is worn out, as I can no longer hear the Liberty Bell toll and echo its sweet Freedom through city streets and off mountain tops; my eyes have gotten tired, as the Stars and Stripes once flew so boldly, yet now She appears tattered and faded, no longer flying proudly.

We haven’t stayed close since your divorce from the Constitution. Some call your new spouse “Socialism,” “Fascism” or “Progressivism.” I’ve heard that you were lovers a hundred years ago, though I’m not sure what is true anymore.

I fear your children have not lived up to your name. They know and play more political games than I know card games. With the death of Common Sense, your children will now have to learn of it from books rather than from themselves. You have let your children run rampant without discipline, and I am paying for it!

As we grow apart, I am afraid that negative emotions will replace the fondness of years gone by. Many of my siblings have become angry, and it scares me more than your silence. I have to wonder, is war in our future? I pray not, for I am a peaceful person; I do not want to hear the bugle call early in the sunrise of our beautiful existence once more.

We have reached difficult times, and you call on us to sacrifice. I know plenty of sacrifice, for I am born of it. Yet if we sacrifice Liberty, I will be Free Citizen no longer. Shall you willingly imprison me with your shackles of fear and tyranny or allow your children to hold me hostage? What of my ancestors, those who sacrificed health, life and lovers so I may not feel that cold steel chain around my wrist? What of your Fathers, those that wrote about the common rights of men and created the greatest Republic to stand? Surely, they must be ashamed of their children.

You can muzzle me, chain me, and beat me, but I will never sacrifice Liberty. I will stand tall beside you, America, for you are my home and my greatest friend; you are the haven of the oppressed and sanctuary of justice. Yet I will not let your children – tyranny and hypocrites – destroy you.

The Free Citizen

Well, I find it appauling and disrespectful that since the White House, the Congress and Senate have created official YouTube channels, YouTube has now begun to ban and suspend channels who are questioning and disagreeing with what Washington has been doing to our economy since Bush was in office.

Hmmm … I think I remember something being mentioned by the First Lady during the campaign that “Barack will not allow you to go back to your lives as usual” (paraphrased). I guess that means we cannot live our lives as we see fit because “big brother” says that we are too stupid to make our own decisions. I’m sorry, but I refuse to accept that. I’m not much younger than the President or the First Lady, but they have no right to tell me how to live my life.

Sorry people, but I di-gress. This all ties into the YouTube censorship. They don’t want us to disagree with our “big brother.” This is already being spoken out by independent reporters who are awake and refuse to drink the poisoned kool-aid. Yes, I’m very concerned. I’m worried about the future for my only child. She’s only eight years old, and I’m worried that she’s going to be indoctrinated into the lies that are being forced on us now.

The one thing that makes this entire mess even more difficult is the current hate crimes legislation that was passed through the House of Representatives.  What the mainstream media has not reported is that this bill includes pedophiles as well as every other sexual perversions as a protected class.  In other words, if a man were to expose himself to a woman on the street, she cannot retaliate or hit that man, or she will be charged with a Federal hate crime, while the man is charged with a local misdomeaner. The same is true for families who try and protect their children from sexual molestation.  At least two congress members, one being from Texas offered an amendment to exclude pedophiles, and othe sexual perversions, but it fell on deaf ears and both amendments were voted down.  Well, I am a survivor of sexual molestation, and I am outraged!! It’s unbelievable that Congress would pass such a bill. There is no logic behind it.  But what else can we expect from the left?

Why is it okay for liberal groups like LGBT groups and their supporters to attack conservative thinkers, churches, etc? Where is the logic?  Well, Ayn Rand once said, “There is no conflict of interest between rational men.”  So, I guess rational thought and common sense just isn’t cool anymore.   How sad that many people have bought into the lies of liberal think tanks and university professors and psychologists who think they’re better than people like me because they make a six figure income and have a piece of paper stating that they can teach.  All they teach is lies based on the agenda of the global elite who are accellerating to destroy our way of life.  Those who don’t even realize what’s really happening to our nation are going along with the agenda of the university elitists because they’re more concerned about their fat paychecks that will pay for their homes (which they probably couldn’t afford without their income),  club memberships, yachts and the Ivy League education for their spoiled brats.

Wake up, America!! We are headed for the worst iceberg in the history of our nation. We must speak out against the global elite and these blatant attacks from our government on our individual freedoms!

Many of my family members and friends I have known most of my life would probably be surprised that I am “getting involved in politics.”  No, I am not running for office, but I am keeping informed of what is going on in our country.  Yes, I am a conservative, but as for a political party affiliation, that’s not an issue.  Politics is a difficult topic for many people today, but that does not mean that Christian conservatives should not be concerned about what is happening to our country.

First of all, I have been watching the family unit being torn apart, piece by piece; parental rights are being systematically destroyed, and now, children are being given everything from condoms, sex education in schools, abortion on demand without the consent of the parents and “cradle-to-grave funding for their education.  In other words, “Don’t worry Mom and Dad! The government knows what is best for your children more than you do.”   It goes without saying that the mainstream media and extremely liberal “elitists” are speaking louder than ever before on these issues.  It’s obvious because parents are not allowed to spank their children anymore because of child welfare laws in place protecting children from abuse.  Now, I’m all for child abuse laws. No child should ever be beaten to the point of death by anyone, especially parents.  But there is a huge difference between a basic spanking, also called corporal punishment, and beatings to the point of bruises and serious injuries.  I was spanked while growing up, and I didn’t turn out to be a lunatic; nor did I abuse anyone else for that matter.   If I did something that I was told not to do, I suffered the consequences of my actions.

Let’s move on to the “No Child Left Behind Act”  that was signed into law by President Bush.  What’s up with that?  When I was in school, students were sent to the principal’s office for being disrespectful to the teacher, fighting with another student, and they were sent to the corner or the hallway outside of the classroom if they were disruptive. A student either did their homework or they failed the course, and most likely had to repeat the grade in the following school year.  We were required to say the Pledge of Allegiance, and no one made an issue about it (not even the Jehovah’s Witnesses).  Nowadays, students don’t have to worry about personal or academic accountability because the schools and teachers are being held responsible if a kid drops out or fails for the entire year. We also have atheists “foaming at the mouth” about the Pledge of Allegiance all because one nation “under God” was added to it back in the 1950s.  Even when my mother and my grandparents went to school, they had school prayer. What is the problem? I’ll tell you what; if you don’t want to pray, or say the pledge, then don’t!  Just stand there quietly and show some respect.  But, no way are the atheists going to stand for this!

Now we have the courts deciding on the definition of marriage in many states, calling the vote of the people (defining marriage to be between one man and one woman) unconstitutional! Excuse me?? Since when does the US Supreme Court legislate from the bench? I thought that they were required by Constitutional Law to uphold what it says. They’re not upholding anything.  The judges sit there and argue over “what ‘is’ really means!”  Where is the common sense?  We’ve got the homosexual community throwing it in our faces about their lifestyle, demanding that Christians accept them no matter what the Bible says. And at the same time, they’re pushing to have special civil rights consideration with the new thought crimes bill being considered in Washington (1).

It gets worse, people.  Now, with the help of the Department of Homeland Security, Christians are now considered “right-wing extremists” because we oppose gay marriage and anything that is immoral.  According to World Net Daily, it states that the unclassified report “further warned law enforcement to watch out for individuals with “radical” ideologies based on Christian views, such as opposing illegal immigration, abortion and federal taxes.”(2)

Today’s liberals actually believe that the Constitution that our founding fathers fought for and died for 230+ years ago doesn’t apply to us today. And my ranting doesn’t apply to just one particular group or issue; it applies to the First Amendment as well.  There are atheists and other “left-wing extremists” who are taking the Establishment Clause and tearing that apart as well.  It states the following:

[“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”]

For example:  According to the Department of Homeland Security, I am now considered a “right-wing extremist,” because of my Christian and conservative views. I don’t own firearms, but I support the Second Amendment. I also believe that the Unites States is supposed to be a sovereign nation, and I am “tea’d off” at the spending by our current government under President Obama, and under President Bush. According to another blogger, Oliver North, it is a “frightening acknowledgment that political speech is being monitored in America.” Apparently, it is acceptable  for the left-wing extremists and mainstream media to tear apart everyone who opposes gay marriage, gun control, illegal immigration and high taxes, because they are supporting President Obama’s liberal Marxist and Fascist agenda in Washington.  But God forbid that anyone should challenge “the Great Leader” of our nation on what he is doing, which in essence, is breaking our Constitutional Laws! President Bush did the same thing when he pushed for the Patriot Act not long after 9/11, therefore, he is no saint either.

It is a shame that in my lifetime there hasn’t been more of a public outcry within the Christian community that I know personally. I’m not saying that we should stoop to the level of what the other side is doing.  But we MUST stand up for our freedom to practice our faith. If we don’t do it now, our children, grandchildren and generations to follow will be indoctrinated into the Fascist way of thinking.

Our fight against tyranny is not just for ourselves, or our future generations. It also for those that have come before us!  Liberty is not a free commodity, nor will it ever be.  There will always be a fight against the perils of despotism, because there will always be those seeking power at the expense of the sovereignty of the people. We, the people, have been on the defense of this battle for too long! WE HAVE NOW ESCALATED TO A POINT WHERE IT IS NO LONGER TIME TO DEFEND OUR LIBERTIES, WE HAVE COME TO THE POINT WHERE WE MUST FIGHT FOR THEM!

I am not suggesting a revolution, nor a call to arms, rather, I call for a contribution and a dedication to an involvement in our government. “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance”- (Thomas Jefferson) To sacrifice a few hours of our time, and to participate in the legislative process that dictates the very laws in which we live by, is a small price to pay.  May we have God’s blessings in our just cause…
